Treatment & What to Expect
Your physiotherapist will:
- Take a detailed history of the issue at hand.
- Assess joint movement, strength, function and filter down a diagnosis using musculoskeletal tests.
- Provide you with education on your diagnosis, what is causing your symptoms, and how we can work together to resolve the issue.
- Begin treatment – Starting off with making a tailored rehab plan and reviewing this together in the gym space within the practice, and then performing some manual therapy such as soft tissue massage to help provide you some short term relief for you to leave the appointment with.
Treatment should not be excessively painful. Some techniques may feel uncomfortable, but everything is explained and adjusted to your comfort level.
Treatment may include exercise therapy, manual therapy (such as massage), work / sport related advice, and education to help prevent recurrence.
